What Else and I've Been Up To:
So, I moved this weekend. I wasn't having much luck looking for jobs and internships and Indiana was just not the place for me. My aunt offered me a place to stay in a city with a better theatre scene, so I took it. It was difficult to say goodbye to my parents and childhood home, but I had to make that step sooner or later if I want to make my dreams come true. I don't know what the future holds, but I know I'm heading in the right direction.

Ready, Set, Write! Nearing the Finish Line
Ready, Set, Write is a weekly writing intensive hosted Jaime Marrow, Erin Funk, Alison Miller,and Katy Upperman.
Over the next few months I will be checking in with Jaime and the gang to answer a few questions about my writing week.
1. How I did on last week’s goals: I yo-yoed this week. I was on a hot streak early this week to prepare for the couple days I knew I wasn't going to be writing. I'm almost finished with the draft I'm over 45k. So close.
2. My goal(s) for this week:
Yes, I'm going to knock out these next 5k and then take a well deserved nap.
3. A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised:
4. The biggest challenge I faced this week: There were quite a bit of challenges this weekend. More on that on Wednesday.
5. Something I love about my WIP: The romance between my two main characters is slowly forming into something I can smooth out during revisions.

What I'm Reading: Still working on Just For Fins by Tera Lynn Childs. I haven't had much time to read because of Camp NaNoWriMo. But I'm sure I'll finish it this week.
What I'm Writing: "Bring me Your Dreams" is coming along nicely. I'm playing catch up right now. I'm over 39k in. I'm nearing the end.

Ready, Set Write! Distractions
Ready, Set, Write is a weekly writing intensive hosted Jaime Marrow, Erin Funk, Alison Miller,and Katy Upperman.
Over the next few months I will be checking in with Jaime and the gang to answer a few questions about my writing week.
1. How I did on last week’s goals: I've fallen behind a little this week. When I say "I've fallen behind", I mean I'm on schedule. I just like being two days ahead. Right now I'm a little over 32k.
2. My goal(s) for this week: My goal this week is to not fall behind. I'm just going to write as much as I can this week. And stay either on schedule or above my word count goals.
3. A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised:
4. The biggest challenge I faced this week: I got distracted with a shiny new phone. Plus my computer keeps freezing. :(
5. Something I love about my WIP: The novel's getting to the juicy part. I finally figured out one of the main antagonist 120 pages into the story. It's going to be fun.

What I'm Reading: I bought a couple paperback books as a treat to myself last week and they just arrived the other day. They're all a part of unfinished trilogies I own. First up Just For Fins by Tera Lynn Childs.
What I'm Writing: I'm work on my Camp NaNoWriMo Novel, burning away the midnight oil. I just hit 29k and I hope to stay a few days ahead. I'm really enjoying writing this. I try to make myself laugh often.

Ready, Set Write: In The Groove
Ready, Set, Write is a weekly writing intensive hosted Jamie Marrow, Erin Funk, Alison Miller,and Katy Upperman.
Over the next few months I will be checking in with Jamie and the gang to answer a few questions about my writing week.
1. How I did on last week’s goals: I'm still going Strong with my Camp NaNoWriMo Novel. I just reached 25k words, which is my halfway point. :D
2. My goal(s) for this week: My goal this week is still to write at least 1,667 words a day for "Bring Me Your Dreams."
3. A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised:
4. The biggest challenge I faced this week: I've been volunteering with a girls program. It's really draining me working with 70+ girls for 3 hours. But I'm staying on top of things.
5. Something I love about my WIP: I love my MC Lucinda. She's pretty horrible and terrifying. At the very beginning of the novel she rigs the nominations for prom queen, but she keeps talking about her nomination as if she earned it. Her friends Lee and Xander have to keep reminding her that she cheated, but she just doesn't care. I love that. (cheating's bad kids)

What I'm Reading: Still working on Reboot by Amy Tintera. NaNo's taking over my life.
What I'm Writing: Still working on my Camp NaNoWriMo Novel. I'm over 13k in, I was a couple days ahead, but I fell behind during the holiday.

I've been volunteering with a girls summer program for the past seven summers. The program started up again, and I've been spending 3 hours a day with 70+ girls between the ages of 6 and 12 (but there are some 4 and 5 year-olds mixed in.) It's been taking a lot out of me as well.

1. How I did on last week’s goals: I started off great. I was cranking out 3k a day up until the holiday. I slowed down a lot because I was out with my family all weekend, but I'm still two days ahead.
2. My goal(s) for this week: My goal this week is still to write at least 1,667 words a day for "Bring Me Your Dreams."
3. A favorite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised:
4. The biggest challenge I faced this week: The Holiday. I was in a grove, until I had to leave the comfort of my own home. It through off my grove.
5. Something I love about my WIP: I love learning more about my MC. Sometimes it feels like I'm writing just to get the word count for NaNo. It is what I'm doing, but every once in a while, I get this nugget of golden character development. I love discovering new things about my MC as I write.

What I'm Reading: I finished The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White and I'm starting Reboot by Amy Tintera. I probably won't get much reading done this week because of NaNo. We'll see.
What I'm Writing: Camp NaNoWriMo started the yesterday. I'm putting the pedal to the metal. I'm determined to finish again this year. For more info on my project check out my RSW post here.
What Inspires Me Right Now:
Word wars with my cabin mates. I love word wars and sprints. Free writing is so relaxing I don't care about grammar or spelling, I just write. I don't get stressed out about how pretty or grammatically correct a sentence is. I just pour out story. (I'll leave the editing for later)
